House Call Services

If you are unable to bring your cat to us, we can come to you! Our mobile unit and housecall service provides many of the same services as the clinic does (see list in the graphic above).
For your assurance, this service is inspected & accredited by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.
History of The Cat Clinic
The
building was built in 1911 by John Dockings whose family lived in the
house for the next 50 years. Until 1952, this house was the only one on
the block.
In 1978, 391 Concession Street became home of The Cat Clinic,
founded by Sandra Chernesky, DVM. This was the second feline practice
in Canada and still is the only one in operation in Hamilton.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Elizabeth O'Brien, DVM, Diplomate
American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (feline practice), is the current
owner of The Cat Clinic. Dr. O'Brien has been associated with The Cat
Clinic since the first summer of operation as Dr. Chernesky's first High
School Student.
Dr. O'Brien graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College
in Guelph, Ontario in 1985. Today, Dr. O'Brien is the only Board certified
Feline Specialist in Hamilton with only 4 in Canada.
The Cat Clinic is a current member of the CVO (College of
Veterinarians of Ontario), OVMA (Ontario Veterinary Medical Association),
AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners), Cornell Feline Health
Centre, ABVP (American Board of Veterinary Practitioners), CVMA (Canadian
Veterinary Medical Association) and the Hamilton Veterinary Academy.
